Why this is free for you

We are paid by employers, once they hire you and you start working. That is the whole business model, and it is not generosity.

It is the law where you are going. In Canada, the employer pays the Labour Market Impact Assessment fee and cannot recover it from the worker.¹ Charging you for recruitment would cost us our licence in every country we work in.

It also aligns us with you. We get paid when you are hired and stay hired. Sending an employer someone who is not ready costs us money. That is why we ask a lot of questions before we present anyone, and why we sometimes tell people their route is not open today.

Why a law firm and not an agent

An agent takes your money and hopes something works out. A law firm takes the employer’s money and is accountable to a regulator for what it tells you. If we make a false statement about immigration law, we lose the right to practise. That is the difference, and it is the reason we can afford to tell you when a route is closed.
